To help build strong and stable career paths for those who prefer to learn only specific skills related to the Hotel and Restaurant Industry, BCPD also offers the following Short Courses:

1.    Food and Beverage Services

  • Provide link between kitchen and service area
  • Provide food and beverage as well as room service
  • Develop and Update with new knowledge on Food and Beverage


2.    Front Office Services

  • Receive and process reservations
  • Operate computerized reservation system
  • Provide accommodation reception service
  • Conduct night audit
  • Provide club reception services
  • Provide porter services


3.    Housekeeping

  • Provide housekeeping services to guests
  • Prepare rooms for guests
  • Clean premises
  • Provide valet service
  • Laundry linen and guest clothes


4.    Bartending

  • Clean bar areas
  • Operate bar
  • Prepare and mix cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Provide wine service


5.    Commercial Cooking

  • Provides competencies for any of the following positions:

Commis
Pastry Cook
Pantry Worker / Cold Kitchen Cook
Hot Kitchen Cook


The short courses last for a month and are given three times a week. They are usually availed by those who either want to upgrade their knowledge or want to learn new skills in order to acquire jobs immediately.
